The Laptop Lunchbox!
This little gem is perfect for kids and adults. (I must say, it's even cooler than the Planet of the Apes lunchbox I carried to elementary school... I guess my parents were eco too, in the reuse sense, I believe the Apes box was inherited from the neighbor whose 4 boys had all outgrown it. No need to buy a cute Strawberry Shortcake lunchbox, the Apes will work just fine!) Sydney was so excited when it arrived in the mail yesterday, we had to make a picnic lunch... only problem was the rain! It comes with a insulated carrying case, water bottle, and bento box (shown above) with all of the containers, fork and spoon, and a great little book with innovated lunch ideas. In an ideal world, you save money by packing your lunch, save the environment by bringing all of your food waste home to dump into your composter {see below}, and then can sit sipping your wine looking in awe at your garden flourishing from the organic compost!

ecofact:: a typical elementary school generates more than 18,000 lbs. of school lunch packaging waste per year. eliminate the majority of meal waste by packing lunch in a resuable lunchbox.

Happy Farmer Kitchen Composter... or in our home, infant walking aid! Darcie took to the composter immediately and was pushing it all about the house. Hmmmm, does that mean I don't have to stir it!? This guy is made from 75% recycled plastic soda bottles and comes with a bag of Bokashi - magic compost formula. You can compost everything you would normally scrape down the disposal and more... bones and meat! Crazy, I know, but like I said, the Bokashi really is magic!

ecofact:: food is the number one item in landfills by weight. with this cool composter the Henleys in Golden are doing their part to reduce the amount of trash they're sending off to the landfill every Friday!
