The rubber met the road for Sydney on June 14, 2009. This comes one week after she started swimming. The 5th year is turning out to be a year of milestones for Sydney Kate.

Sun Time

On the plane to Phoenix to visit Nana and Niddy. The sun felt so good! Sydney ate her first In and Out Burger, we spent plenty of time at the pool and managed time to hunt for Easter Eggs too.

It's 4am and I'm HUNGRY!

It's 4am, I hear Darcie Doo stirring, "she'll go back to sleep" I think to myself...

Nope.

I tried rocking, something to drink, a book?, the blankie, the kitty she calls "Meow", hmmm. What else is there? Oatmeal!

After devouring a huge bowl of oatmeal, well, most of the bowl of oatmeal, the bowl was flung off the table. Vigilant Sopris was standing by ready to clean up the mess, unfortunately all of the oatmeal landed on his head. This proved challenging for him to eat, but was quite humorous during the pre-dawn hour.

Sun Valley Trip

The girlies and I went to visit Nan and Pop in Sun Valley this March. We busied (let me rephraise - the girls busied themselves, I chased after them!) ourselves with skiing, horsebacking riding, swimming and a visit with Smoky the Bear at the Hailey Library.
